Should The Government Spend More Money Improving Roads & Highways or Public Transportations?

The public transportations that i have used in the past couple of years wasn’t too comfortable, nor was it safe by any means, both the transportation and the ones operating them. Maybe once in a while you’ll find a few public transportations that is decent enough to ride in, but i’ll guarantee that will happen only once in a while. I’m not talking about planes, business trains, or even ferries, what i’m talking about are the ones that gets you through the day, that either helps, or worsen the traffic. Buses, minivans, and commuter trains, those public tranportations in Jakarta.

The buses and minivans are bad, sometimes old and rusty, and then the driver, whose very reckless and impatients at driving, those are the huge factor that makes these public transportations unfit to ride. The trains too, the economy ones, without the air conditoner, it’s clearly unfit to ride. Inspite all of that, rapes and robberies happens often on minivan, even on taxis too, especially these past few years. Maybe rapes don’t happens on commuter trains or buses, but robberies still occurs, and sometimes people get molested too there.

And after that whole safety issue, then comes the quantities. There are lots and lots of people commuting everyday to the capital city of Indonesia. Massive amount of people waiting in line on train stations and bus stops everyday in busy hour. When people finally got on the public transporations of their choosing, it would still be so crowded in it. That’s why its an easy target for criminals.

I know that the main problem on the road nowadays is the traffic jam, but if the government can’t stop the population growth properly in Jakarta, the roads will always be crowded. If everyone or just the most of them wanted to use their own vehicle everyday, no matter how improved the roads and highways have becomes, the matter won’t stop. That’s why i think that more money should be spent on improving the public transportations. I don’t know how, maybe by fixing the ones we already have, getting new ones¸ get a responsible and well educated driver, educate the people to be more civilized, i don’t know, but make it more fit to ride and the people want to ride it. The people needs and safety comes first.

One Day to Spend in My Country

There are lots of places to visit in indonesia. Beautiful places. Known for its natural beauty, indonesia would amaze its own people. There are forests, jungles, mountains, lakes, and more. But my favorite places to go are beaches and the ocean. There are Ancol, Anyer, Carita, Kuta, Sanur, Senggigi, Pangandaran, Bunaken, Raja Ampat, and others.  But if i only have one day to visit Indonesia, i would go to Bali.

If it’s me, i would probably spend the whole day on the beach, just lying there in the sand, doing nothing at all until i get a sunburn. Or learning to surf, and that possibly would take the whole day too. But by just being on the beach would made my day. The view of the ocean, the sky, the breeze, the softness of the sand, its like a whole different world. And tons to choose from in Bali, like Kuta, Sanur, Seminyak, Dreamland to name a few. In Kuta, you can surf and shop, and see the beautiful sunset there. In Sanur, it’s more peaceful, you can’t surf, though you can go snorkeling and diving, and at dawn you can watch the sunrise there. But other than the beaches, there are more to see in Bali.

The temples, like Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Besakih, Lempuyang, and more. The temples are a really great tourist attraction, because Bali is known to be rich in culture, and temples really brought the cultures out of them, what the people of Bali is all about. I have been to Tanah Lot once, and it was a great experience, being splashed by some holy water, the flowers and herbs put onto me, and the man there was saying some kind of prayers for me and my friends to be safe. To close out the day, there was a beautiful sunset too, it is said that Tanah Lot have the most beautiful sunset there, and it was no joke. Oh yeah, there was this giant snake too there. The whole experience was just unbelievable. And from what i have seen on tv, foreign tourists loves going to temples in Bali, they’re really impressed by Bali’s culture.

There are lots of more places to visit in Bali; Kintamani, Ubud- the famous monkey forest there, the fields, the rivers-, Sukawati Market, Bali Safari Marine Park, Goa Gajah, and seafoods in Jimbaran. You can never get tired of Bali. It’s one of the most known places in Indonesia. When i talked with some people on the internet, only a few knows Indonesia, but all of them knows Bali. Bali certainly is an interesting place for me. One day in Bali is worth it. It's a vast paradise.

"You Make My Dreams Come True" - Hall & Oates

What I want, you've got
But it might be hard to handle
Like the flame that burns the candle
The candle feeds the flame yeah yeah
What I got -- full stock of thoughts and dreams that scatter
And you pull them all together
And how I can't explain oh yeah
Well well you (ooh ooh ooh ooh)
you make my dreams come true (you you) you
(you you)
Well well well you (ooh ooh ooh ooh)
oh yeah you make my dreams come true
(ooh oooh ooh ooh) hell yeah

On a night when bad dreams become a screamer
When they're messin' with a dreamer
I can laugh it in the face
Twist and shout my way out
And wrap yourself around me
'Cause I ain't the way you found me
And I'll never be the same oh yeah
Well 'cause You (ooh ooh ooh ooh)
hmmm hmm you make my dreams come true (you
you you you) oh yeah
Well well well you (ooh ooh ooh ooh)
ooh you make my dreams come true (you
you you you) oh yeah
Listen to this

I'm down on my daydream
All that sleepwalk should be over by now
I know
Well you hell yeah you make my dreams come true
(you you you you) oh yeah
(you you)
I've been waiting for waiting for you girl
(ooh ooh ooh ooh)
Oh yeah you make my dreams come true
(you you you you)
Me you me and you
I've been waiting for waiting for you girl
(ooh ooh ooh ooh) all my life
You make my dreams come true
(you you) whoa (you you)
Whoa whoa I've been waiting for waiting for waiting
for waiting for waiting
for waiting for waiting for
(You make my dreams) ooh ooh ooh ooh
I've been waiting for you girl (you you you you)
(You make my dream you you you you)

Opinion on "Whether Computers Made Life Easier or More Complex"

I agree with people that say computers have made life easier and convenient, but to be honest, I don’t completely disagree with people that say computers have made life more complex and stressful. Not to be ambiguous, but that’s how I see it.

To start of, the purpose that us humans created computers was for helping us with our tasks, to make life a little bit easier. And who knew? It works. For example, like one of the smallest things, calculator, no matter who you are, what you do, when you want to count something, calculator makes it a whole lot easier. Even if you’re some math genius prodigy who finished your doctorate degree in your teens, counting with a calculator would still save you a few seconds, or maybe a millisecond, or even a nanosecond, but hey, that still counts as making it easier right?

From that small pocket calculator to the humongous working machines in modern manufacturing industries. The industries wouldn’t work so well and on time these days without those computers operating the whole factory. Buildings, airplanes, trains, and lots of things are operated by computers that certainly makes our life easier.

Now, about the computers that made life more complex and stressful, that’s right too. It’s just how people manage their time in using the computers. If you use it 24/7 or close to that, it will make you stressful. You need to balance it out, your life and your time on the computer. Some have said that the best way to relax from computing, is just taking a day off without computers. That’s a really good suggestion. Moreover there are people that just don’t want to learn how to use computers, because for them, the simple life is a better way to live. I don’t disagree with that, maybe it is, but the world we live in now is a world with computers to help us with our tasks, and we just have to adapt.

So it all depends on us, on how the way we use computers, how we manage our time with it, it can make things easier, or it can just stress us out.

Opinion on "Good Grades, Encourage Students to Learn"

I don’t really remember my first time getting a good grade, maybe somewhere in the middle of my first grade in elementary school. But what I do remember, from elementary school, through these days in college, every time I got a good grade, I feel blessed and happy inside.

The feeling, the smile on my face, that’s what I like to have, and because of that, I always try to make it happen again, getting a good grade of course. So what I have been doing all these times are learning and studying, all that’s necessary to earn those good grades.

I know, that grades aren’t everything, and certainly not the most important thing in school, college, or any other place of learning. It doesn’t even mean anything if you got it by cheating or by some kind of manipulation, that makes you not deserving of it. But it is one of the most vital stuff though, it shows how much you understands all that have been taught to you. Your mark, on the process of learning.

So with that in mind, I always try getting good grades by doing the best that I can. And to do that, I have to really understand what the subject is, what to learn, to understand, to know and to be prepared when the tests comes. After all of the hard work you put into it, when the grades comes, and you got a good one, you’ll be satisfied. A smile would come, and you’ll be happy to have that feeling again. Trust me. But if all you care about are the grades, and you earned it by cheating or by someone’s answer, the feeling wouldn’t be the same. For me it would’ve been guilt, lots of them, I wouldn’t think that I deserve the grades a bit.

To answer the question, I truly agree that with good grades, it will encourage students to learn, to study, to understand the subject that they’re studying. Besides, how do you earn an honest good grade other than studying?
