Opinion on "Good Grades, Encourage Students to Learn"

I don’t really remember my first time getting a good grade, maybe somewhere in the middle of my first grade in elementary school. But what I do remember, from elementary school, through these days in college, every time I got a good grade, I feel blessed and happy inside.

The feeling, the smile on my face, that’s what I like to have, and because of that, I always try to make it happen again, getting a good grade of course. So what I have been doing all these times are learning and studying, all that’s necessary to earn those good grades.

I know, that grades aren’t everything, and certainly not the most important thing in school, college, or any other place of learning. It doesn’t even mean anything if you got it by cheating or by some kind of manipulation, that makes you not deserving of it. But it is one of the most vital stuff though, it shows how much you understands all that have been taught to you. Your mark, on the process of learning.

So with that in mind, I always try getting good grades by doing the best that I can. And to do that, I have to really understand what the subject is, what to learn, to understand, to know and to be prepared when the tests comes. After all of the hard work you put into it, when the grades comes, and you got a good one, you’ll be satisfied. A smile would come, and you’ll be happy to have that feeling again. Trust me. But if all you care about are the grades, and you earned it by cheating or by someone’s answer, the feeling wouldn’t be the same. For me it would’ve been guilt, lots of them, I wouldn’t think that I deserve the grades a bit.

To answer the question, I truly agree that with good grades, it will encourage students to learn, to study, to understand the subject that they’re studying. Besides, how do you earn an honest good grade other than studying?
